Bishop of Oxford defends nomination of Canon Jeffrey John as Bishop of Reading

In a personal statement given to the Oxford Diocesan Synod meeting in High Wycombe, UK, the Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Revd Richard Harries, described the process leading to the nomination of Canon Jeffrey John as the next Bishop of Reading, and explained his decision as an issue of principle.
