The 1928 BCP (or similar traditional book, or even a updated English version that is theologically correct), 2. the 39 Articles, 3. Anglican Traditions before 1960 to include an all-male ordained clergy, and an ideal standard of marriage and family life; and finally, 4. the Ordinal. These might form the Essentials that required uniformity. Now the diversity in Non-essentials may come in how a church worships: high, low, charismatic, evangelical, or other, its theological perspective within the 39 Articles, and other things like vestments, Bible editions, hymnals, music, etc.

This confederation might have as one of its purposes to provide its members with a listing of other member Churches where they could worship when traveling. It could serve to provide mutual support for one another and the confederation for the protection, promotion, and growth of Traditional Anglicanism. It might have a seat with other Anglican Church conferences like AAC to look at mutual goals, and be a voice for faithful autonomous churches. I do not contemplate a governing body, but only a conference for fellowship and the promotion of the Anglican Way. Corporate Membership in PBS might be a consideration. The beginnings of this may be in place now, as the Mandate lists those churches that use the 1928 BCP. It would be a governing body, but rather a conference where churches can self identify as Traditional Anglican.

Membership could be open to any Anglican Church or group of Churches. It might be a place to start, using the USA PBS as a gathering place. To get an idea of what we are talking about in Church locations and numbers, I invite the reader to this link where the mapmaker has located many autonomous Anglican churches and provided with information on them when one clicks on the cross.
http://www.greaterdanburyanglicans.org/AMiAChurches/AMiAChurches.html?ShowAll .

Mark S.
